Scornful Pride

Scornful Pride

You’ll never see me sweat,

You’ll never see me cringe,

Ice cold gaze of piercing daggers, penetrate your reflection deep within,

Commanding silence, will not be followed,

Threatening tactics, a mockery of insignificant effort,

Feet firmly planted, steadfast to their claim,

You pull; I push… knowing, things will never be the same,

You think you won the battle… I jokingly laugh,

Your grunting;  Your heaving, Exasperated with no words,

With a devilish grin; I ignore your request to stay;

Because a woman scorned with self-love of her own worth,

Will always… always …proudly walk away.
